While other lenders were closing up shop or selling to banks and/or big box lenders, owner David Currie felt compelled to navigate his company thru these tumultuous times while attempting to preserve the careers of his fellow Rhode Islanders. “When I opened the company in 2005, my mission was to empower originators with the resources and operational excellence they needed to succeed and to provide as many employment opportunities as possible for Rhode Islanders. After almost two decades in business, we have overcome adversity time and time again by acting swiftly when times get tough and by making sound financial decisions.” Those actions have allowed Province Mortgage Associates to continue serving their local communities while minimizing the reduction of jobs that many competitors were so quick to eliminate or outsource to companies hundreds if not thousands of miles away.
