In accordance with our bylaws, the Rhode Island Mortgage Bankers Association is organized for the following purpose:

To promote the common business interests of the mortgage banking industry in the State of Rhode Island.

To improve the industry's service to the community.

To encourage among its members sound and ethical business practices in the organization, distribution, and servicing of real estate mortgage loans.

To sponsor meetings for the discussion of real estate mortgage problems and to sponsor education and research projects designed to alleviate those problems.

To provide a forum for new ideas related to the mortgage banking industry.

To cooperate with public and private agencies and the public at large in all matters relating to sound mortgage banking practice with the object of strengthening with economic base of the community.

To provide a platform from which the members of the mortgage banking industry can express their views on practices and legislation affecting the industry and to lobby for legislation that will improve the industry and benefit the public.

To afford the opportunity for those engaged in the mortgage banking industry to secure the benefits of personal acquaintances.
